I took a quick trip back to New Zealand to see the old man -- he's heading into a nursing home and, well, this might be his last lap around the sun. We hit a few of the old towns I grew up in, clocked plenty of hours on the road across the South Island, caught up with a couple of uncles, and stopped by my grandparents' graves.
